EXPANSION OF THE MASJID PREMISES
To develop an Islamic Centre to satisfy the growing muslim population in Garlandale, Sybrand Park, Rondebosch East, and surrounds.
With space for only 300 musallies, the mosque is in dire need of additional space, as a result of the influx of muslim families to the area.
As a result, the Masjid is too small to accommodate the attendees.
It is a common sight to see salaah being performed in the parking area and on the stoep of the mosque.
The current layout of the property is not provide adequate expansion possibilities. The ideal solution is to expand into the adjacent property.
The Vision
Our vision is to establish a Masjid large enough to accommodate the attendees and an Islamic Community Centre to be a hub for religious activity within the area, with the Masjid being an integral part of the complex.
The planned layout includes offices to cater for consultations and the administration of the Centre.
Facility will be provided to allow for a planned feeding scheme to cater for many of the needy in the area.
Additional classrooms will be built to cater for daytime and evening classes for both spiritual and general interest.
Private usage will be encouraged, as a source of revenue generation.
Programmes for the youth will be encouraged and pursued.
Ladies interests and involvement will be greatly supported.
The centre will include a Ghusl area for the community janaazas as well as a gathering area for the musalies.
Donor Objectives
Our first objective is to raise R2 050 000 which will cover the expenses of securing the purchase of the adjacent property.
We hope to reach this target by offering 205 donor blocks of R10 000 each.
We will also accommodate all donors by encouraging community participation and making alternative donation methods available.
All funding is managed by the BoT Treasury team who will allocate the funds appropriately

Once the property is secured and plans drafted for the renovations, a second round of fundraising will be initiated.
